Aira, writer, translator and essayist, has published infinite

Carla Alanis,
Literature student at UBA. She has published Ejercicios de Caracol,
illustrated by Eduardo Zabala (2003). She has a literary column in
the program "Vuelta de Radio" on Mondays from 10 to 12 hs
in FM Palermo, 94.7.
Gustavo
Álvarez Núñez is a poet and musician.
In 1999 he published Sweet home Panamericana by Editorial La Marca.
He was part of the music group Spleen and participates as a journalist
in Los Inrockuptibles magazine and radio programs.
Ezequiel Alemian was born in Buenos Aires in 1968. He has published
La ruptura, La Devastación and Me gustaría ser un animal,
by Ed. Siesta.
Antonio Andrade. MA in Brazilian Literature Brasilera
and Literary Theory from the Postgraduate Program in Literatura of
the Universidad Federal Fluminense. He has published the following
essays: "A palavra pede silencio", "Poesia e Psicose",
"Poesia e visualidade em Roberto Echavarren" and "Relacoes
entre linguagem poetica e visual: notas sobre a poesia de Roberto
Echavarren".
Carlos Battilana, Latinamerican Literature teacher at UBA. He has
published the poetry books Unos días (1992), El fin del verano
(1999), la “plaqueta” Una historia oscura (1999) and La
Demora (2003).
Pedro Araya
(Valdivia, Chile, 1969) has published Arco Santo (1991), PeR,noCta
(2002), and together with Yanko Gonzáez, La muerte se está
fumando mis cigarrillos, translation and notes of poems by Charles
Bukowski (1996) Carne Fresca, Poesía Chilena Reciente (2002)
and Zur Dos, última poesía latinoamericana (2004). In
1999, he directed and edited the compilation of essays by Chilean
writers about cultural identity, Metáforas de Chile (2000).
He has a degree in Latin-American Studies by London University, and
he collaborated in various cultural magazines in Chile and abroad.
He lives in Paris at the moment.
Gabriela
Bejerman was born in October, 1973 in Buenos Aires. She has
published Alga (Siesta, 1999), Crin (BYF, 2001), Pendejo (Eloísa
Cartonera, 2003) and Sed (Cencerro, 2004). She does poetic performances
and has been experimenting with musical composition lately. During
2004 the novel Presente perfecto by editorial Interzona will be published.
Carmen Berenguer
(Santiago, 1946) has published “Bobby Sands Desfallece en el
Muro” 1983; “Huellas de Siglo” 1986; “A Media
Asta” 1988; “Escribir en los Bordes” 1990; “Sayal
de Pieles” 1993; “La Mirada Oculta” 1994; “Naciste
Pintada” 1999; “La gran Hablada” 2002. She has participated
in lectures in national and international congresses and seminars.
She was invited by universities like Boston University, Trinity College,
University of Stanford, University of California (Berkeley), University
of Santa Clara (California). Her poetry has been included in several
anthologies. She edited literary magazines: “Hoja X Ojo”
1984, “Al Márgen” 1986. She has co-ordinated literary
creation workshops in the Facultad de Filosofía y Humanidades
in the Universidad de Chile, in the Corporación de la Mujer
La Morada and in Balmaceda 1215. She has participated in several multimedia
works, performances and video art. She collaborates in the magazine
“Nomadías” from Programa de Género de postítulo
in Filosofía y Letras in the Universidad de Chile, and in the
electronic newspaper “Primera Línea” with chronicles
that will be published next year. Her poetic works and essays have
been published in several national and international literary magazines.
She has been translated into English and Swiss. In 1997 she got the
John Simon Guggenheim Scholarship and in 2002 the FONDART
Charles Bernstein was
born in New York in 1950. His first book appeared in 1976, Parsing.
In 1978 he started to edit L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E magazine together with
Bruce Andrews, magazine which grouped many poets of his generation
and around which an important vanguard group was formed. L=A=N=G=U=A=G=E,
one of the strongest forces in poetry in New York nowadays. He has
edited more than 20 poetry books and has an extremely important essayist
work. One of his main essay books is Contests Dream, 1985. He has
also edited plenty of contemporary poetry anthologies.
Lucía
Bianco was born in Punta Alta in 1979. She is a teacher from
E.A.V. Bahía Blanca. In 2004 she published Preinsectario, Caza
Menor and Etiquetas de dulce.
Mario Caputo, graphic
designer, members of Estudio Piña, editor and art director. Responsible for Colección Golosina.
Arturo Carrera
(Pringles, Bs.As, 1948). He has published more than 20 works of poetry,
essays and translation. Among them are Escrito con un nictógrafo
(1972), Oro (1975), Arturo y yo (1983), La banda oscura de Alejandro
(1994), El vespertillo de las parcas (1997), Children’s corner
(1999), Carpe Diem and Potlatch (2004). He has translated Yves Bonnefoy,
Mallarmé, Michaux, Haroldo de Campos, Maurice Roche and Pasolini.
In 1993, the editor Beatriz Viterbo published his essays Nacen Los
Otros. In 2001 he organized the anthology of young Argentinean poets
Monstruos for the Internet, later published by the Fondo de Cultura
Económica. He got the National Prize of Poetry Mauricio Kohen
in 1985, the Antorchas Scholarship in 1990, the Guggenheim Scholarship
in 1995 and the First Prize in Premio Municipal de Poesía de
la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires in 1998. He has been translated
into several languages.
Rafael Cippolini is
an essayist, and editor of Ramona, visual art magazine. Occasional
curator, member of College de Pataphysique, collaborator in many publications,
and art and culture media. He is the author of Manifiestos Argentinos.

Oliverio
Coelho was born in Buenos Aires in 1977. He has been edited
in Argentina, Spain and México. He has received, among other
distinctions, the latinamerican short story prize Edmundo Valadés
in Mèxico and Premio único Bienal Latinoamericana José
Rafael Pocaterra in Venezuela. He has published Desmárgenes
(poetry), tierra de vigilia (novel), la víctima y los sueños
(nouvelle), y El umbral (short story).
Washington Cucurto, Santiago Vega’s most popular
pseudonym, editor of Eloísa Latinoamericana and Eloísa
Cartonera. He works in Casa de la Poesía and from there has
launched interesting editorial projects, such as the Casilibros, the
magazine Gracias Gutemberg! and the edition of hand-made books illustrated
by plastic artists, which resulted in an exhibition in Malba during
2003. He was one of the editors of La novia de Tyson. He has published
Zelarayán, La máquina de hacer paraguayitos, Fer, 20
pungas contra un pasajero and the novel Cosa de negros.
Cuqui was
born in Córdoba in 1977. She
published Cuando explota un globo (1999), Naranja verde rojo (2002),
Lavados vaginales (2003), Actriz de reparto (La Creciente, 2004),
Masturbación (Eloísa cartonera, 2005), A mí me picó una araña (Eloísa
Cartonera, 2005).
Roberto
Echavarren, Uruguayan, lived in Londres and Nueva York for
years. He is the author, among other poetry books, of El mar detrás
del nombre (Alfa Prize), La planicie mojada (Caracas, Monte Ávila),
Animalaccio (Barcelona, Libres del Mall), Aura amara (México,
Cuadernos de la Orquesta), Oir no es ver (México, Fondo de
las Artes). His chosen poems have been compiled, together with critical
articles of his works, in Performance, género y transgénero
(Eudeba, Universidad de Buenos Aires, 2000). Medusario (México,
Fondo de Cultura) is his introduction to contemporary latinoamerican
poetry. Among his essay books is Arte andrógino: estilo versus
moda en un siglo corto (Premio del Ministerio de Cultura de Uruguay).
He has published two novels: Ave roc and Julián.
Gabriela Delmastro was born in Buenos Aires in 1970.
She attended Escuela de Bellas Artes and was part of Juan Doffo’s
painting workshop. She exhibited engravings in Argentina, Brazil and
Cuba. She published Carnada (2004)
ná Khar elliff-ce edited Ovnipersia in December 2001
by tsé=tsé. The last edition was by Eloísa Cartonera,
the short story Umbanda-Jackson, from the unpublished book Santas
incubaciones! He does performances with different poets and musicians.
He was one of the editors of tsé tsé magazine. He co-produces
Estación Alógena together with a variable staff.
Mercedes Escardó was born in 1974. She graduated
as an English Teacher in "Dr. Joaquín V. González"
Teacher Training College, and works as a teacher and co-ordinator.
She has recently started the Literature course of Studies at UBA and
has participated in the poetry workshop co-ordinated by Romina Freschi
since January 2003.
Ximena Espeche, (Montevideo, 1974). Literature graduate
at UBA, studies Drama. She was a member of Zapatos Rojos, is editor
of No quiero ser tu beto magazine and participated in Artefato, Buenos
Aires. She has published Cosa y Sombra (2003) and periodically stages
Concierto de voz hablada and, more recently, Concierto II.
Florencia Fragasso, poet, has published in many magazines and the
poetry book Observatriz with illustrations by Bernardo Zeizzig, by
Arte Plegable.
Fernando Fazzolari was born in Buenos Aires in 1949.
In 1969 he studied painting with Jorge Demirjián and in 1971
drawing with Julio Pagano. Until 1973 he participated in several collective
and individual exhibitions. By the end of 1973 he abandoned plastic
art and finished his course of studies. He went back to painting in
1983. Since then he has made many individual exhibitions and has received
lots of prizes. He directs the publication El surmenage de la muerta
and the website www.kulturburg.com.ar
Nicolás Fernández Vicente was
born in Bahía Blanca in 1986. In 2004 he won a scholarship for bright
secondary students issued by Fundación Antorchas.
Daniel Freidemberg
has published the poetry books Blues del que vuelve solo a casa (1973),
Diario de la crisis (1986), Lo espeso real (1996) and the anthology
La sonatita que haga fondo al caos (1998). Also, he was editor of
El juguete rabioso magazine, director of the poetry section of El
Ornitorrinco, y editor in El escarabajo de oro. In the mid ninties
he made and anthology of young poetry, Poesía en la fisura.
He is cofounder and member of Consejo de Dirección of Diario
de Poesía magazine.
Romina E. Freschi, MA and Literature professor (UBA),
coordinates together with Karina Macció the poetry group Zapatos
Rojos (www.zapatosrojos.com.ar). She directs the collection Arte Plegable
(Literatura and Art). As a writer she has published redondel (1998
y 2003), Estremezcales (2000), Petróleo (2002) Villa Ventana,
illustrated by Fazzolari, and El-Pe-yO (2003). She coordinates literary
workshops.
Francisco
Garamona Buenos Aires, 1976, lives in Rosario. He studied
music and plastic art. He is the author of the following books: Parafern,
Deldiego, 2000; El verano, Deldiego, 2001; Carcarañá,
Casa de la Poesía de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, 2002; Tavali,
amaranta, 2003; Cuaderno de vacaciones, Siesta, 2003; Pequeñas
urnas, Gog y Magog, 2003; Una escuela de la mente, Eloísa Cartonera,
2004 and La momificación de Bárbara, Junco y Capulí,
2004. There is a CD with his songs called Garamona.
Juan Fernando
García was born in Necochea, Bs. As. in 1969. He studied
Literature in the National University of La Plata. He is responsible
for the cycles Gara poética and Galerna poética. He
works as a teacher at secondary level, coordinates reading and writing
workshops, and is editor in chief of Canecalón magazine. He
published La arenita (2000), todo, (2004), and participated in the
anthology La niña bonita (2001).
Lorenzo García Vega was
born in Cuba in 1926. He was part of the mythical magazine Orígenes
and won the National Literature Prize in 1952 with his novel Espirales
del cuje. He left his country in 1968. He wrote, among others, the books Suite para la espera, Cetrería
del títere, Antología de la novela cubana, Los años de Orígenes, Collages
de un notario, Palíndromo para otra cerradura, Homenaje a Duchamp,
El oficio de perder and Papeles sin ángel. He was part of the editorial counsels
of Escandalar and Újule magazines.
Juan Gelman was
born in Buenos Aires in 1930. Among
his books are Violín y otras cuestiones, Gotan, Cólera Buey, Hechos,
Interrupciones I y II. He has lived in Mexico since his exile.
In 1997 he was given the National Poetry Prize.
Mercedes
Gómez de la Cruz was born in Rosario, in 1974. She
is a poet and essayist. Among her publications are “Sosteniendo
el sueño” (plaquette, Índigo Ediciones, 1996),
“Partículas de sentido” (plaquette, Viajeros de
la Underwood Ediciones, 2000), “Los que siguen-Veintiún
poetas rosarinos” (Anthology, Rosario, Los Lanzallamas, 2002)
and “Lo que huye” (poems, Rosario, Los Lanzallamas, 2003).
She was the editor of the magazine and editorial of narrative and
poetry “Viajeros de la Underwood”. In 1999, she received
the “Arte y Cultura” scholarship granted by SubSecretaría
de Cultura de la Provincia de Santa Fe, for her research “Poetas
mujeres que desarrollaron su obra en Rosario”. She studies Literature.
She is part of the independent professorship “Felipe Aldana”
in the Nacional University of Rosario. Since then she devotes herself
to doing research and to making the Literature and History of Rosario
known. She directs the publishing house “junco y capulí”,
which makes art-books.
Yanko González
(Santiago, Chile, 1971) has published Metales Pesados (1998), he book
of interviews to Chilean writers Héroes Civiles y Santos Laicos
(1999) and together with Pedro Araya La muerte se está fumando
mis cigarrillos, traducción y notas de poemas de Charles Bukowski
(1996), Carne Fresca, Poesía Chilena Reciente (2002), and Zur
Dos, última poesía latinoamericana (2004). He also wrote
the anthology of young Chilean poetry Voz Sero (1994) in collaboration.
He is an anthropologist and lives in Barcelona.
Lucio Greco was born in 1976 and has published the poetry
book Pasto de la aventura (2003).
Oscar Hahn (Chile,
1938). He has published
Arte de morir (1977), Mal de amor (1981), Estrellas fijas en un cielo
blanco (1981), Versos robados (1995), Apariciones profanas (2002),
y Obras selectas (2003). And also de essay books Fundadores del cuento
fantástico hispanoamericano (1998), Magias de la escritura (2001),
and Vicente Huidobro o el atentado celeste (1998). In 1989 Pedro Lastra and Enrique Lihn
edited a selection of studies about the poet called Asedios a Oscar
Hahn. In 2002 El Arte by Oscar Hahn appeared in Lima, a nuew compilation
of essays put together by Pedro Lastra. In 2003he won the prize “Altazor
de poesía“. He has been professor of Hispanoamerican Literature in
the University of Iowa for many years.
Rodolfo
Häsler (Cuba,1958). He is a poet and translator. After
living in Switzerland and other places in Europe, he settled in Barcelona,
where he lives at present. He has published: Poemas de arena (1982),
Tratado de licantropía (1988), Elleife (Aula de Poesía
de Barcelona prize, 1992), De la belleza del puro pensamiento (Oscar
B. Cintas Foundation of Nueva York scholarship, 1997), Poemas de la
rue de Zurich (2000) y Paisaje, tiempo azul (México, Aldus,
2001). He has translated into Spanish the poetic works of Novalis
(Barcelona, DVD, 2000). He is also co-director of the magazine Poesía-Barcelona.
Roberta Iannamico was
born in 1972. Publicó Mamushkas
(Vox, 2002), Tendal (Ediciones del Diego, 2001), El collar de fideos
(Vox, 2001), among others, more recently the plaqueta Celeste Perfecto
(Crudo Ediciones, 2005).
Reynaldo
Jiménez was born in Lima, Perú in 1959. He
has been living in Buenos Aires since 1963. He has published, among
others, "Tatuajes" (poetry, 1981), "eléctrico
y despojo" (1984), "las miniaturas" (poetry, 1987),
"Ruido incidental/El té" (poetry, 1990), "600
puertas"( poetry, 1993), "La curva del eco" (poetry,
1998), “Reflexión Esponja (essay, 2001). He is the editor
of "tsé=tsé" magazine and publishing house.
Carlos Juárez Aldazábal (1974) is from
Salta, Argentina. He has published La soberbia del monje (Ultimo Reino,
1996) con subsidy from Fundación Antorchas, and Por qué
queremos ser Quevedo (bajo la luna nueva, 1999). He received, among
others, the First Prize to Regional Poetry of the Secretaría
de Cultura de la Nación and the First Prize in the "Identidad:
de las huellas a las palabras" organizad by the civil association
Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo. He has an MA in Communication and lives
in Buenos Aires at present.
Tamara Kamenszain, poet and essayist. She published
the poetry books De este lado del Mediterráneo (1973), Los
No (1977), La casa grande (1986), Vida de Living (1991), Tango Bar
(1998) and El ghetto (2003), and the essay books El texto silencioso
(1983), La edad de la poesía (1996) and Historia de Amor (2000)
Luciano Lamberti was
born in San Francisco in 1978. He studies Literature. He co-directs
the publllishing house La Creciente together with Alejo Carbonell
and Alejandra Baldovin, where he has published the story book Sueños
de siesta. He has participated in the Troquel project.
Leónidas
Lamborghini was born in Buenos Aires in 1927. Amongst his
vast and important works are El saboteador arrepentido, Las patas
en la fuente, El solicitante descolocado, Odiseo Confinado, Las Rescrituras,
Mirar hacia Domsaar and the novels Un amor como pocos and El jardín
de los poetas . He lived in exile with his family between 1977 and
1990, when he returned to Argentina.
Fernanda Laguna, plastic artist and writer. She is
the founder of Belleza y Felicidad and No hay cuchillo sin rosas,
both Art spaces. She has Publisher countless works with ByF and Eloísa
publishing houses, and also the book La Ama de Casa (Del Diego,1999)
Martín Legón was
born in 1978 and is a self-taught plastic artist. He is responsible
for Crudo Ediciones.
Julieta Lerman was
born in Buenos Aires in 1980. She studies Literature at UBA. She teaches
Spanish, studies French and does. She writes and likes poetry, but
she hasn’t published anything yet.
Daniel Link
is a university professor and writer. He teaches 20th Century Literature
in Buenos Aires University and directs Radarlibros, the literary supplement
of Página 12. He has edited Rodolfo Walsh’s works and
has published, among others, the essay books La chancha con cadenas
(1994) and Cómo se lee (2003), the novel Los años noventa
(2001) and the poetry books La clausura de febrero y otros poemas
malos (2000) and Carta al padre y otros escritos íntimos (2002).
Laura Lobov was
born in Buenos Aires on 28 February 1978. She publisshed Las Cosas
a Descansar (2004) by Gog y Magog, editorial of which she is a founder.
Lulú – Luciana Jankilevich was
born in Buenos Aires on 19 April 1981. She is a photographer. She
is part of the pop group Warriors. She published Poemas
de amor o no para vos (2001), despierta (2002), No es que no queramos
ser, es que preferimos seguir soñando (2002), Cariño and Ella es Lulú
(2003).
Macadamia
is a heterogeneous art group which organises activities,
performances, exhibitions, fairs, festivals since 2002. With the original
idea by Marta Ares, they organised the first video festival macadamia

Karina Macció, MA and Literature professor (UBA),
and English teacher, coordinates together with Romina E. Freschi the
poetry group Zapatos Rojos (www.zapatosrojos.com.ar). As a poet, she
has published Pupilas Estrelladas (1998), Ferina (2001) and Lestrygonia
(2003). She coordinates literary workshops.
Anahí Mallol was born in La Plata in Mayo,
1968. She is a poet and literary critic. She has published Postdata
(1998) and Polaroid (2001) both by Ed. Siesta, and the essay book
El poema y su doble by Ed. Simurg.
Leonardo Martínez is from Catamarca, Argentina.
He graduated in the Musical Art School of the National University
of Tucumán. He published the poetry books Tacana o los Linajes
del Tiempo (1989), Ojo de Brasa (1991), El señor de Antigasta
(1994), Asuntos de Familia (1997) and Rápido Pasaje (1999).
Silvio Mattoni (Córdoba, 1969) Teacher at
Cordoba National University. He has published, among others, El bizantino
(1994), Tres poemas dramáticos (1995), Sagitario (1998) and
Canéforas (2000).

Medrano (Buenos Aires, 1971). She has published Despeinada

si me hiere un rayo. She also coordinates the poetry workshop in the

Daniel Muxica, editor of La Bohemia and Los rollos del mal muerto
magazine. He has published, among others, Hermanecer (1976), El poder
de la música (1983), El perro del alquimista (1987), Nihil
Obstat (1997), Bailarina Privada (2001) and La conversación
(2004).
Lucía Mondino was born in 1986. She has just
started the Literature course of studies at UBA. She participates
in literary workshops. She has not published yet.
Elizabeth Neira Calderón (Santiago de Chile, 1973).
She is a journalist, poet and visual artist. She has worked as a cultural
journalist in different media in Santiago de Chile. Her literary works
have appeared in anthologies, such as “Punto Infinito”,
Al Margen Editores, “30 Poetas Jóvenes”, Ediciones
de la Universidad de Playa. In 2003 she published Abyecta (Al Margen
Editores) thanks to which she received the Fondart scholarship to
develop the video installation “Abyecta Poesía en Expansión”,
which was exhibited in Alameda Art Center during January and February
2004. This year she has presented her performative poetry show in
different venues in Buenos Aires and Rosario, such as La Casa de la
Poesía Evaristo Carriego, Centro Cultural Ricardo Rojas and
Centro Cultural “El Tigre” (Rosario).
Karel Nu, también ná Khar, edited Ovnipersia
in December 2001 by tsé=tsé. His last edition was by
Eloísa Cartonera, el relato Umbanda-Jackson, from the unpublished

Cecilia Pavón, MA in Literatura, poet. She
founded Belleza y Felicidad art space and has published many of her
works with its publishing house and in its magazine, and the books
¿Existe el amor a los animales? (Siesta) Pink Punk (Eloísa
Latinoamericana), Un hotel con mi nombre (Del Diego) and Discos Gato
Gordo (Eloísa Cartonera).
Roberto Picciotto was
born in Buenos Aires in 1939. He studied physics and mathematics at
University of Berkeley and Indiana, where he got a doctorate in philosophy.
He has lived in Spain, France, Italy, Greece and the USA. He published,
among others, los libros tablas. Transiciones, Aprendizaje
de la voz and recently Preludio al silencio.
Adrián
Pedreira, manager. Since 2000 he has colaborated with Zapatos
Rojos group as an editor and online designer, and in technical support.
Celia Pedrosa, doctor in Literarture by PUC-Río.
She teaches Brazilian Literatura and Literary Theory in Federal Fluminense
University, where she also coordinates the Postgraduate Program in
Literature. She has published Antonio Candido: a palavra empenhada
(Sao Paulo, Edusp, 1994) and Mais poesia hoje (Río de Janeiro,
Argos, 2002) as compiler.
Carolina
Pellejero was born in Mayor Buratovich in 1977. She was part
of the Production and Text Analysis workshop coordinated Daniel García
Helder and Arturo Carrera during 2000, organized by Vox.
Anna Karina Pinotti was born in Montevideo, Uruguay
in 1973. She participated in antologías 9 ed. Vox 2002 and

Carlos Puig, plastic
artist, administrator of Manuel Puig’s work after the latter’s death.
Manuel Puig was
born in General Villegas, Buenos Aires province, in 1932 and died
in Cuernavaca, México in 1990. In 1968 he entered into Literature
with the novel La traición de Rita Hayworth. Among others, he wrote
the novels Boquitas Pintadas, El beso de la mujer araña, Pubis angelical
(these three with versions in film), Maldición eterna a quien lea
estas páginas and Cae la noche tropical.
Gabriel
Reches lives in Buenos Aires. He published El resto (2000)
and Evolución (2005).
Noelia Rivero was
born in Buenos Aires in 1979. She published La manera en que decimos
sombrastogether with Martín Loire (2003) and Las maravillas del mundo,
by Zorra ediciones, editorial of which she is a founder.
Mercedes
Roffé was born in Buenos Aires in 1954 and lives in
New York at present. She has published El tapiz de Ferdinand Oziel,
Cámara baja, La noche y las palabras, Definiciones Mayas, among
others. She is the editor of Pen Press, which publishes “plaquetas”
by latinamerican authors and translations.
Juana Roggero studies communication, participates
in literary workshops and was published by Color Pastel, Colección
San Valentín
Carolina Romanó was
born in Buenos Aires in 1983. She published Soy como ella, by Zorra
ediciones, editorial of which she is responsible.
Alejandro
Rubio (Buenos Aires, 1997) published música mala (1998),
Metal pesado (1999) and Novela elegíaca en cuatro tomos: tomo
uno (2004). He is one of the editors of poesia.com
Daniel Samoilovich
(Buenos Aires, 1949) was born in Buenos Aires in 1949. His first book
of poems, Párpado, was published in 1973. It was followed by
El Mago, with a prologue by Beatriz Sarlo and illustrations by Guillermo
Kuitca (De la Flor, 1984), La Ansiedad Perfecta, with illustrations
by Juan Pablo Renzi (idem, 1991), Agosto (Pequeña Venecia,
Caracas, 1995) and Superficies Iluminadas (Hiperión, Madrid,
1997). In 1999 Hidrografías/ Hydrographies, a short anthology
of his poems in a bilingual edition with translations into English
by Julian Cooper was published. More recently, the editions Phi, from
Luxembourg, and Des Forges, from Quebec, co-edited a selection of
his poems translated into French by Jean Portante (La nuit avant de
monter a bord, 2001). He translates English and Latin. Among others,
he has translated Horacio (XX Odas del Libro III, Hiperión,
1998; in collaboration with Antonio Tursi) and Shakespeare (Henry
IV , Norma, Bogotá, 2000; in collaboration with Mirta Rosenberg).
Since 1986 he directs in Buenos Aires the quarterly newspaper Diario
de Poesía.
Julia Sarachu,
La Plata, 1976. She participated in the Taquigrafía para principiantes
anthology, Ed. Paradiso, 2002. She published Transformaciones in Ed.
Gog y Magog, of which she is a founder.
Amalia Sato
is a professor in Literature from Universidad de Buenos Aires.
Apart from being the editor of Tokonoma magazine, she directs the
collection Narrativa/Tokonoma in El Cuenco de Plata publishing house.
She has done several translations (for which work she received the
Konex Prize 2004), and prologues among which are El Maestro de Go
and Mil Grullas, by Yasunari Kawabata; Japón: lo próximo
y lo distante, by Renato Ortíz; Revelación de un Mundo,
by Clarice Lispector; Yugen, by Haroldo de Campos and El Libro de
la Almohada, by Sei Shonagon. She collaborates with Clarín
Cultura supplement, Radar, the magazines Temas de Africa y Asia (FFyL,
UBA), Contextos (FDyA, UBA) and several literary magazines, such as
Vox, Ricardito and Xul. She also teaches Spanish in Fundación
Centro de Estudos Brasileiros and does research in Sección
Asia y Africa, in Universidad de Buenos Aires.
Alejo Steimberg was
born in Buenos Aires in 1974. He has a degree in Literature issued
by UBA. He lives in Brussels, where he is part of the editorial counsel
of Panorámica magazine, and hosts a radio program. In 2003 he published
the plaqueta Clase magistral, with design by Bruno Rota (Arte plegable)
and in 2004 he edited the book P (Vox).
Silvia Vainberg,
poet, plastic artist and dancer. She has been living in Belgium since
1980 and has published poetry books both in French and Spanish La
rage du tounesol (1990), Astres en Vertige (1992), Caligrafía
del Espíritu (1994), Para unos labios de profunda sed (1992).
Cecilia Vicuña. Chilean poet and visual artist
of ample trayectoria in the USA, Europe and Latin America, author
of 18 poetry books, and many anthologies of Latin American poetry.
Born in Santiago de Chile in l948, studied in Escuela de Bellas Artes,
Universidad de Chile, Santiago (l966-l971) and Slade School of Fine
Arts, University College of London (l972-73). Since l980 she has been
living in New York, where she has displayed multiple skills through
her performances, installations and publications.
Walter Ch.
Viegas, advanced student of Literature, has published Nieve
(1999) and Hablar dormido (2003). He edits the de-géneros section
in Zapatos Rojos’s webpage together with Joaquín Ibarburu.
Susana Villalba, poet. She has published, among others,
Oficiante de Sombras (1982), Clínica de Muñecas (1986),
Susy, secretos del corazón (1989), Matar un animal (1995 y
1997) and Caminatas (1999). She was responsible for the vanished Casa
Nacional de la Poesía, where literary workshops were coodinated,
the Babilonia reading cylce and the Internacional Poetry Festival
of Buenos Aires in 2001.
Verónica Viola Fisher was born on 8th April,
1974. She has published hacer sapito and a boca de jarro.
Ana Wajszczuk poet and journalist. She edits, together with Luis Chaves,
the Latinamerican poetry magazine Los Amigos de lo Ajeno. She has
published Trópico Trip (1999). She lives in Costa Rica most
of the time.

Weissi published Desesperadamente in 2003. He is one of the
members of Color Pastel.
Gabriel
Yeannoteguy, Buenos Aires, 1978. Actor, writer, others. Has
published: La serie del agua (Montevideo, Artefato, 2003). Co-director
of the free ex-biweekly literary webpage literaria No Quiero Ser Tu
Beto since 1998. Singer and compositor of the rigorous Concierto de
voz hablada.
Marina Yuszczuk
was born in Quilmes but lives in Bahía Blanca. She
is a professor in Literature from Universidad Nacional del Sur. She
published some of her works in Editorial Pastiche, and Guía
práctica de las mariposas in Coop. Editora El Calamar.
Eduardo
Zabala, graphic designer and plastic artist.He exhibits his
works since 2000.
Bernardo Zeizzig, plastic artist. He illustrated and designed Florencia
Fragasso’s book Poemas de la Observatriz, by Arte Plegable.
Miguel Angel Zapata has
published poetry and literary essays. He is from Pirua, Perú. He
is doctor in Philosophy, Washington University. Ne lives in Long
Island, NY, where he is the main professor of Hispanoamerican Literature
in Hofstra University. He directs Hofstra Hispanic Review and the
essay collection Amaru. Among his books are Imágenes los juegos
(Lima, 1987), Escribir bajo el polvo (Lima, 2000), Cuervos (México,
2000), Sparrow in the House of Seven Patios (New York, 2005) and
Los muslos sobre la grama (Bs.As., 2005).
